One news after another shocks us these days, times are tough and challenging. The pain families are going through can not be even imagined. More than we need Oxygen, Beds and other medical facilities. We need prayers, blessings and an understanding for the people who are loosing their loved ones.
Rohit Sardana a very caring father of two little daughters is not around us now, channel may have lost a great journalist, country might miss fiery anchor but family has lost entire world. I was a follower to Rohit Sardana on Twitter, who had this special quality to share every moment he enjoyed with his little daughters on his Twitter handle. Rest in Peace @RohitSardana, you will always be alive in our hearts.
As a father we all have great aspirations for our family, we make big plans and we sincerely work to make them happen too. Its human nature that most of these plans remain close to our heart, we normally don’t disclose them to anyone thinking that we will be there too long and may be forever. If one thing that is very certain in life and can’t be ignored its “Death”. Every rich or poor will meet this fate for sure, if this is the reality of life then why don’t we get well prepared. Covid or post Covid the art lies in enjoying the moment and be well prepared to say good bye.
Few learnings that we need to make part of our day to day life are….
Health – Make health a top priority, eat well and balanced diet, adopt yoga, do exercise, stay safe from a pandemic like Covid, Keep yourself medically fit, have medical tests every 6 months. Even after maintaining all discipline to a healthy life, don’t take yourself for granted. You still need to be well prepared.
Be a man of the moment – Make plans for future you certainly need them to live long, be well prepared but start enjoying every smallest moment that comes your way. Every morning should matter, every breakfast should be fun, every dinner should be worth remembering, every school drop to your child should be meaningful, every Sunday meal must be cheerful and every holiday should be great fun as if there is no tomorrow. Hug the ones you love more often and live every moment. Don’t hide your emotions, tell everyone how much you love them.
Make your expectations clear – Tell everyone around you in family your expectations from them, what makes you feel happy. Tell them your plans for them, don’t work in isolation. Don’t keep travelling to your goals lonely, make this life journey meaningful by travelling as a family. You will certainly enjoy every milestone small or big.
Make family a priority – Your world should involve around your loved ones, sometimes your social circle becomes so important that family gets ignored. You must be one man for the world but for your family you are their whole Universe. Channels, Organizations, Your work place will get your replacement in no time but your family will never get your replacement. Quality time spend with them will be their only treasure. Let them be always your priority.
Build your Financial strength – Your Financial Strength plays an important role in all 3 situations that you may come across in Life. You need to be very well prepared to face every situation with smile.
Situation 1 – Living long would need lot of money to meet your life goals like Child Edu/ Daughter wedding / Retirement. You need to have a solid Investment Plan
Situation 2 – Sudden death would mean your family will need adequate financial arrangement and regular cash flow to live same life style that father had made them available. You need an adequate Term Insurance Plan
Situation 3 – Father’s illness might sometime dry out all savings and bring unwanted trauma for the family. One needs a comprehensive Health Plan to meet this situation.
Make family well aware of your Financial Matters – Make sure as a father you sit down and word by word read out your Financial Back up plan to your family. You need to keep ready in Black n White all documents related to your Savings, Investments, Properties, Bank Accounts, Term Insurance, Mutual Funds and other borrowing to ensure there are no hassles for family when you are not around.
This life is a wonderdul gift of god and living it as if you never lived will be too much of injustice with yourself and your family. Enjoy every moment but be well prepared. As a father we are bound to deliver above duties with utmost perfection. Though these are challenhing times but this too shall pass……Stay strong, Be Happy but its also true Kal Ho Na Ho….
