Money is not everything, but money remains something very important. Beyond the basic needs, money helps us achieve our life’s goals and supports the things we care about most deeply like our family, children education, health care, sweet home, required gadgets, adventure etc. With money, a lot good can be done and very many unnecessary sufferings can be avoided for sure.
Its true that news papers, magazines, TV as well as internet is full of stories of rich & famous that point towards the poverty in terms of understanding in relationships. Once we reach to a certain level of achievement in life and attain a status in society…..a lot more money does not mean a lot more happiness. Bill Gates and Melinda Gates married for 27 yrs having 3 children and an empire of US $ 148 Billion announced their divorce, the news certainly surprised whole world and in no time such a celebrity as well as power couple became a matter of gossip all over. With due respect to the privacy of Bill & Melinda Gates, does this not sound little uneasy and kidish? Reaching at such a pinnacle, people should become role models for the society.
In Husband-Wife relationship there exists a very thin layer of understanding each other, but over a period of time as we start taking this relationship for granted this thin layer becomes a big gap that can be termed as misunderstanding. To my mind, which ever country you belong to whatever religion you enjoy, this situation can be avoided with very small actions, we might not actually feel the importance of these small actions but they create a big difference. In case of husband-wife separations, an undisclosed survey shows 80% of cases fall in regret category within 1000 days.
Life is a beautiful gift and your partner is a real blessing who has supported you and walked along with you in every thick n thin. Someone who travelled with you from your days of struggle to where you have reached today should deserve honorary treatment every moment. This planet can be made more happier by life partners with very small doable gestures like surprise dinners, visit to your college hostels to rewind the memories, visiting your school canteen to enjoy that samosa party, visiting place of your first date, one holiday every year without kids, wearing that pink shirt/saree once in a week, cooking together on sundays, working on your retirement plan and evaluating it every 6 months, sitting at the same bus stop where you used to wait for each other, visiting same temple where your worshipped together and closed your eyes with same prayer or may be ride on same bike or scooter that made you skid in your initial days of freakout.
Husband & wife should create an atmosphere of respecting each other, understanding one another’s needs, not bringing any other relationship in between their own, realizing the fact that every moment is a gift of god and will never come back again. Plan as if you will live for 100 years and behave as if there will be no tomorrow. With little understanding, willingness to surrender, respect for one another, undisputed trust in relationship and with a feeling of no one is better than your partner the life will be heaven to enjoy on earth.
Let no relationship ever comes to the cross roads, let no husband-wife ever become matter of gossip for society and and let no judge be good enough to pass an order of divorce. Feel pained for you Bill & Melinda Gates, you could have avoided this to remain an example of being a power couple for all
